Acted as the Launch Lead for SPINRAZA, the first therapy available for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) which received FDA approval on Dec 23, 2016. My role was to coordinate cross functional teams, ensure commercial readiness, and conduct a mock launch that elevated the patient experience.
I believe that keys for success reside in the people and teams working on a challenge. It's paramount to take an intentional approach to building teams that complement skillsets, experiences, and growth opportunities.
Some of the best advice I received was from a senior executive who talked a lot about vulnerability. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. It's about being vulnerable, owning your mistake, and learning. This is why my color is Krypton Blue, a reminder that even Superman is flawed.
My professional passion is all about bringing new therapies to market and providing hope to patients who need it. I love all aspects of a new product launch, particularly ensuring the commercial organization is ready to make a positive impact on the patients they support.
