Amalgam Comics & Coffeehouse in Kensington. The first black woman-owned comic shop on the East Coast, Amalgam not only welcomes geeks and gamers but runs weekly events that promote diversity and inclusion in the arts.
Progress – It’s a bold shade of purple, my favorite color, that used to be reserved for the wealthy but has become accessible to everyone over time. Making sure that everyone is given the same opportunities is a priority of mine.
