Why the health industry

As a child of immigrants, I watched my parents struggle to learn and trust the healthcare system here. I chose the health industry to help make a difference in navigation and accessibility for people like my parents and working through social determinants that affect those in need.

Favorite professional work experience

Ideating and leading the establishment of an organization’s first Office of Community, Health, Equity and Engagement with support from the Board of Directors in granting $100 million to the project. This office is set to help tackle social determinants in low income and minority communities.

Have passion in what you do, have the courage to stand up for what you believe in, and always lead with integrity.

Work to learn rather than to earn.

Having the courage to take my photography hobby to a real side gig.
