The challenge

The Global Vaccines team of a large pharmaceutical company engaged Vynamic to provide a strategic assessment of the potential impact of COVID-19 on the future landscape of diagnostics and surveillance of respiratory viruses​.

Primary research methodology

Conducted internal stakeholder interviews with diagnostics team members to inform strategic recommendations​.

Analyzed diagnostic approvals and public health recommendations to understand the changes to the diagnostics and surveillance environment caused by COVID-19.

Analyzed the impact of the 2009 H1N1 pandemic on diagnostics and surveillance as an analog to the COVID-19 pandemic and compared/contrasted the effects.

Developed a set of actionable recommendations and risk considerations to enhance the client’s strategy.
