I am an analyzer of processes, a leader of large deployments, an architect of solutions, and all the while driving initiatives forward as a project manager
Traveling - I've made it a goal of mine to experience as much of the world as I possibly can and think I've succeeded as I've been to every continent (except Antarctica). The exposure to various cultures is something I find truly humbling.
Culture. I've never been a history buff per say, but I think it is important to expose yourself to as much as you possibly can with the short time we have on this earth. Understanding how people in other parts of the world experience life can help you respect and appreciate what we have in this great country.
I have a sister that is 4 years older than me who lives in South Jersey with her daughter (soon to be 2 daughters!) and husband, and a twin brother that lives in California. My parents live in South Jersey as well. My fiancee and I are still just a family of 2, but potentially looking to expand soon - with a dog.
I play softball once a week in the Spring, Summer, and Fall and as much golf as I can find time to play.
I am a true Philly Phanatic. Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers are a huge part of my life being from the area.
I've done a pretty good amount of travel, so this is a tough one. I would say Barcelona is my overall favorite after visiting it twice now, with my most unique travel destination being Peru and Macchu Picchu.
make pickles. I've been making pickling for the past 3-4 yrs and have gotten pretty good at it. You can't beat homemade pickled red onions on some tacos!
play the piano. My fiancee bought me a keyboard a little over a year ago and I've been slacking partially due to previous work travel during the week, but it is something I really want to figure out!
make hot sauce. It is a much simpler process than I had imagined if you can find dried peppers at your neighborhood grocery store!
a Project Management Professional and Scrum Master.
I am a "mirror" identical twin, which means my brother and I are identical but he is right handed and I am left handed. Apparently this is very rare. To this day I still don’t think we look that identical.
Washington Square. Everyone talks about Rittenhouse Square, Old City, the Art Museum, and Independence Mall. Washington Square is a bit more spread out than Rittenhouse and less people. The surrounding row homes and housing are great for wandering as well and seeing some old (but restored) architecture. If you venture into the city, skip Rittenhouse and enjoy a coffee on a bench in Washington Square.
I love the experiences you get with each neighborhood. Fishtown and East Passyunk are a bit on the "hip" side of things with the bars and food scene. Graduate Hospital and Fairmount are a little more family oriented with great coffee shops and neighborhood staples. Rittenhouse is more high end but with some great kept secrets. Even the ones that are similar have a lot that make them different as well. Love this city!
I chose Retro Red because it represents the "throwback" color of the Phillies and brings me back to my childhood. I played a TON of baseball growing up and watched a TON of the Phillies in the process, thanks to my dad. Baseball taught me a lot about being on a team and being a leader.
Being a corporate firefighter. I've always thrived in high pressure situations where the team(s) involved need help, whether that is to lead a project out of a bad place or coming up with a solution to a complex problem. It can be stressful at times, but when you solve that problem nothing feels better!
Stop. Think. Answer. A short saying, but useful. In difficult business settings, it is important to give yourself a second to think through a non-emotional response to either a piece of feedback or maybe a counterpoint to a conflict. I've taken this to heart and it has really helped me over the years as I've grown in my career.
I've setup my base in Philadelphia and worked here for a majority of my career. Most recently, I did spend 1.5 years working with a client in Atlanta with a majority of my time (Mon-Thurs) down in peach country.
because of the culture. The organization is different from other consulting firms in great ways including a healthy lifestyle. You can feel the culture even when you step into the office, whether it is how the various team members are interacting with each other or the track to walk and talk!
Every little change to the companies we work with, no matter how small or indirect, can ultimately roll up to saving a person's life.
