As a Type 1 diabetic, I have always been fascinated by the medicines I have taken throughout my life and the health industry fascinates me. Knowing that the end result of your work improves health access and innovation, thereby enabling people to live a healthy and normal life, highly motivates me.
During the COVID lockdown, I started a side hustle by baking bread and pastries and selling them in a local market. In my local town by the sea I volunteer at the community woodfire Sauna, helping to manage, operate, and maintain it. The ability to speak to so many people in the community who use it, and to improve my own mental health through hot and cold plunges has been life changing for me.
